He knows my name. He knows your name, too. Isaiah 45:3 explains, “I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by name.” It is often in the darkness and secret places that God reveals to us the greatest treasures, all the while whispering our name. Let’s stay the course together…

Bold as a Lion
I realized something this morning.
It is true. God is no respecter of persons.
He will not only meet with whoever desires to meet with Him; He longs to meet with every one of His children.
As I pulled myself away from the world, finding a wild, uncared for field off a back country road, He was expecting me. I didn’t sneak up on Him or interrupt Him from keeping the world on its axis.
I had His full attention; and He had mine.
Working through the awkwardness of singing and dancing freely in His presence; I have become much more liberated with my newfound freedom. It felt as though the birds and trees and all living things were dancing and singing to their Maker with me. It reminded me of Snow White singing with all the birds and animals of the forest (fortunately there were no apple trees nearby!).
As I turned my thoughts to the fact that I am on earth, I felt a sudden sadness at the realization that I am on planet earth where Satan has been given the title “god of this age.”
Suddenly feeling small, in light of dealing with all the principalities and powers of darkness, I asked God, “How do I stand a chance?”
I was reminded of a scripture from God’s Word that I have read countless times, “Greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world.” Next, I was reminded, “You are in the world but not of the world.”
Even in the middle of a field of wild weeds, flowers, butterflies, insects and birds, I suddenly felt powerful.
Yes, there is evil in the world, for sure. Yes, I am only one person. Yet, as sure as I felt the warm wind on my face and the sunshine on my back, I know I can trust God at His Word.
The lion and the lamb. The King—both a gentle lamb and a bold, ferocious lion. We have been created in His image.
Gentle and ferocious, calm and wild. These are just a few of the qualities we are to possess as we live our lives in total abandon for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Maker of heaven and earth.
Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.
Stay the Course…
