VB Kid’s Director

Part-Time Job (20 hours per week)

The VB Kid’s Director is passionately responsible for sharing and fulfilling the VB Kid’s mission “to know & share the life-changing love of God to kids and families.” This individual oversees Valleybrook’s ministry to kids aged birth to 5th grade, and their families through teaching, engaging, and equipping.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Living out the shared mission of Valleybrook ChurchPlanning, preparing, scheduling, and overseeing VB Kid’s ministries on Sunday morningsRecruiting, building, training, and overseeing a team of volunteers with the mentality that “we are better together”Teaching in classrooms as necessaryInvest in lives of students and familiesPlan and execute events that create moments for kids and families (ex: parent/child dedications, parent workshops, classes, Vacation Bible School, etc.)More detailed responsibilities are attached

Pastor of Youth & Discipleship

Full Time

The Pastor of Youth and Discipleship is passionately responsible for leading Valleybrook’s Imitate Youth (grades 6-12) ministry and overseeing a successful church wide small groups/one-on-one discipleship ministry. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Pastor of Youth (50%)

Develop, implement, and lead a comprehensive approach to youth ministry (grades 6-12), that reaches, equips, and invests in youth at Valleybrook.Plan, coordinate, and execute all events for weekly Youth Nights that create spiritual growth moments for youth, including but not limited to retreats, conferences, outreach, events, missions, as well as student leadership and community activities.Prepare and present teachings for Imitate Youth and any other necessary experiences through the study of the Bible and related ministry resources.Recruit and train a team of Youth Leaders in their areas of giftedness and competence to advance the mission of the Imitate Youth, with the mentality that we are better together.Advocate, educate, and communicate the needs of the youth to the local church and communityOrganize and oversee the Imitate Youth budgetWork with VB Kid’s Director to create Parent Equip events and workshops 

Pastor of Discipleship (50%)

Develop and lead Valleybrook’s discipleship processes, including overseeing the Small Group ministry, Support Groups, and One-on-One Discipleship Ministry.Recruit, vet, train, and pastor Small Group leaders and One-on-One Disciplers Oversee the transition of short-term Small Groups to long-term Small GroupsWork with Lead Pastor to further develop an already growing One-on-One Discipleship ministryReview and approve Small Group materials, with the help of the EldersOrganize and oversee the Small Groups and Discipleship budget

As needed

Preach routinely on Sunday mornings (2-4 times a year)Pastoral care to youth, families, and those in need within the ministry

QUALIFICATIONS
